Nebbia: Brand Identity

Nebbia is a new Italian restaurant opened in December, 2018 in the city of Milan.

We initially worked on the naming and the brand identity of the restaurant, designing logo, website, business cards, signboard and restaurant menu.

Then, inspired by the concept behind Nebbia, we went further, designing a series of ephemeral objects that turned out as the result of an artistic and authorial collaboration: matches, sugar packets, napkins.

Nebbia is a new Italian restaurant opened in December, 2018 in the city of Milan.

We initially worked on the naming and the brand identity of the restaurant, designing logo, website, business cards, signboard and restaurant menu.

Then, inspired by the concept behind Nebbia, we went further, designing a series of ephemeral objects that turned out as the result of an artistic and authorial collaboration: matches, sugar packets, napkins.

Nebbia – that in the Italian language means “fog” – is a rather widespread phenomenon in the Pianura Padana, a soft and fairy blanket that seems to envelope everything it finds on its way to slow down the frenetic rhythms of the city of Milan. Even if we try to measure it, it is something that can suddenly show up with no control, out of the blue, for a mix of circumstances and atmospheric conditions. Similar mechanisms can be found within the kitchen of an high level restaurant, where inspiration and creativity take predominance with no strict rules.

Starting from this idea, we played with the design of matches, napkins and sugar packets – additional unnecessary items of no fundamental value – using scientific measurement tables. This is to say: order and control kill and are not often necessary to mankind.
