Swiss Chamber: Brand Identity

Identity, 2016

Client: Swiss Chamber

The Camera di Commercio Svizzera in Italia (Swiss Chamber of Commerce in Italy) commissioned us the re-design and re-naming of their identity. The Camera di Commercio Svizzera in Italia (Swiss Chamber of Commerce in Italy) commissioned us the re-design and re-naming of their identity. In order to create a link with the past, we decided to emphasise the word that describes the Swiss Chamber of Commerce in Italy in the most instinctive way. In fact, the word “chamber”, separated from the meaning of “commerce”, brings attention towards the new services offered by the company, which is not just a physical space, but a place where to meet, share and trade.

This is why, for the naming, we opted for the shorter and cleaner version, simply “Swiss Chamber”.

The logo we designed is the merging between the Italian and Swiss flag, as the Chamber of Commerce represents the main link for the exchange among Swiss and Italian companies. Extending the red third half of the Italian flag allows the fitting of the Swiss flag in it. The common ground on which both nations find the most suitable place to deal is the Chamber of Commerce. The pictogram clearly displays this meaning by placing the white cross on red background which is symbolically the red part of the Italian flag.

The logo and the naming are extremely dynamic to fit all the Swiss languages declinations.
